ABOUT US

Wachusett Fuel Oil Distribution, Inc is operated by Dick Atkins. Dick has been a lifelong Holden Massachusetts resident. Graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 1977 and proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1977 - 1981.

Dick is no stranger to the oil industry, having been raised in the family gas station business. Being the son of Chester Atkins Jr and the grandson of Chester Atkins, he spent many years at the Atkins family gas station, which was on the site of the present Holden Mobil Station.

For many years, Dick and his wife, Amy Parker owned the family-run Parker Oil Service. This business was established in 1929 and continued as Parker Oil until 1996. Only after the death of Dick's father-in-law, Whit Parker; was the Atkins-Parker family forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to sell in order to keep the family farm and homestead, located in Jefferson, Ma.

Now, happy to once again continue in the oil industry, Dick will be a familiar face throughout the Wachusett region, delivering your home heating oil to you.
